Ellipse intense pulsed light (IPL - laser) treatment is unlike any other IPL system due to its unique patented, dual mode filtering. It can be used to effectively reduce
unwanted hair quickly, safely and with minimal discomfort. The visible light source used in this procedure is attracted to melanin, which is found in hair. Because there is
more melanin found in dark hair, the darker the hair, the more effective the treatment. The light energy is absorbed into the hair causing a heat reaction to destroy the
follicle. A course of treatments with 6-8 week intervals between is advised for best results. All other methods of hair removal should be avoided prior to treatment.
Sun exposure should be avoided 30 days before and after treatment. As the treatment progresses, the amount of hair present on the treated area will become reduced and
finer in texture so you will not be as aware of it. Certain medical conditions and medications apply therefore a full consultation will be required to ascertain your
suitability for the Ellipse IPL treatment. This is free, however if you do proceed a patch test is required for which there is charge.
